A series of explosions occurred in the city of Bengaluru

A series of explosions occurred in the city of Bengaluru on 25 July 2008. Sources report that seven consecutive blasts occurred within approximately 15 minutes of each other. Officials cordoned off the affected areas and shut down schools and nearby businesses. The blasts were reportedly set off in crowded areas within minutes of each other; at least one being a bus station in the Madiwala neighborhood. The Hosur Road (the main road that leads into the Electronic City) was also affected. Other affected areas were Adugudi, Koramangla, Mysore Road and Nayadahalli. Reports state that at least two people were killed and 20 others injured. The blasts were caused by crude devices equipped with timers.
