2 bomb attacks in Assam region

On 6 April 2009 two bombings occurred only hours apart in the Maligaon and Dhekiajuli areas of Guwahati, Assam; the attacks were perpetrated by suspected United Liberation Front of Asom militants. The incident comes on the eve of an expected visit to Assam by Prime Minister Manmohan Sing. At least seven people were killed in the bombings.
