Airline Ground Handling Staff Strike

Dozens of ground handling employees at Malev Hungarian Airlines staged a strike on 13 January 2010 over an ongoing wage dispute. Although no major traffic problems have been reported at Ferihegy International Airport (LHBP/BUD) in Budapest, most Malev flights have experienced 20-30 minute delays. Approximately 40 of the 200 ground handling employees took part in the strike. It is not clear if the strike will continue on 14 January.
