OUSTED PRESIDENT TO RETURN TO POWER

Representatives of the de facto government in Honduras announced today that an agreement has been reached that will see ousted former President Manuel Zelaya return to power. Honduran leader Roberto Micheletti, who has led the country since Zelaya was ousted in a military-led coup on 28 June 2009, stated that he has agreed to sign a pact that will effectively set up a power-sharing government. The agreement would also require both political factions to recognise a presidential election to be held on 29 November.
