FCO ADVISE TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION

Since the expultion of President Zelaya from the country on the 28th June Honduran military, military personnel have been deployed on the streets of Tegucigalpa, and a temporary curfew is currently in place running from 6:30pm - 5am. Demonstrations continue to occur throughout the country, and have been accompanied by sporadic incidents of violence and roadblocks. The situation is unpredictable and may deteriorate very quickly. The FCO advise all British nationals in Honduras to exercise extreme caution, to stay away from large gatherings and places of public protest.
