Railway strike affects subway services to airport

Railway workers in Athens are staging a strike on 17 September 2008 that is causing disruptions to services in the city. Subway services to and from Athens International Airport (LGAV/ATH) have reportedly been halted, although buses and taxis are operating. Subway workers are also planning to stage a four-hour strike beginning at 1200 local time on 18 September to protest issues related to a collective labor contract.
