Geek workers strike

Greek workers in the public and private sectors will stage a one-day general strike on 29 June 2010 as part of continuing protests over the government's economic austerity measures and planned pension reforms. The work stoppage is expected to cause widespread disruptions to urban transport and other services, and will be accompanied by rallies in Athens and Thessaloniki. However, no major disruptions are expected to flights in Greece, as air traffic controllers will not join the strike.
