Pilot Strike Suspended

23 Feb 2010
Pilots of the German airline Lufthansa suspended a planned four-day strike late on 22 February 2010 following a labor-court hearing. The pilots' union has agreed to suspend further industrial actions until at least 9 March while negotiations over pay and job security issues continue. Lufthansa flights resumed on 23 February, though some disruptions are continuing and are expected persist for a few days. Hundreds of flights were cancelled on the first day of the strike, affecting an estimated 10,000 passengers.
