Travellers Affected By Traffic Controllers Strike
23 Feb 2010
The French civil aviation authority announced the cancellation of 50 percent of flights at Paris' Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport (LFPG/CDG) and 25 percent of flights scheduled to operate at Orly Airport (LFPO/ORY) on 23 February 2010 as a result of a four-day strike called by air traffic controllers. The strike is expected to affect domestic and European flights operated by Air France, but the airline's long-haul flights will operate normally. Airports outside of Paris -- including those in Biarritz, Chambery, Grenoble, La Rochelle and Pau -- are also likely to experience disruptions as a result of the strike.
