Rail union announces 1 day strike

French rail unions have plan to stage a one-day strike on 25-26 May 2009 as part of a nationwide day of protests over the government and its handling of the country's economic downturn. Workers with the state-owned rail operator SNCF are scheduled to launch the strike at 2000 local time on 25 May.
