GROUND HANDLERS AT ORLY STRIKE FOR 2ND DAY

Ground handlers at Paris' Orly Airport continued to strike for a second consecutive day on 15 October 2009 due to concerns over job security. The work stoppage prompted low-cost carrier easyJet to cancel 16 flights, while Royal Air Maroc has moved its scheduled flights to alternative airports, such as Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, which has not been affected by the strike. Flights operated by Atlas Blue, Air Mediterrannee, Cuban Airlines, EasyJet, Royal Air Maroc and Syrian Airlines were among dozens canceled on 14 October as a result of the strike.
