Air traffice controllers go on strike
15 Jun 2010
French air traffic controllers are staging a nationwide strike on 15 June 2010 that is causing disruptions to domestic and international flights. During the morning hours the work stoppage resulted in cancellations and delays to scheduled flights at Nantes Atlantique (LFRS/NTE), Montpellier (LFMT/MPL), Marseille Provence (LFML/MRS), Nice (LFMN/NCE) and Bordeaux (LFBD/BOD) airports. Disruptions to air traffic are expected to continue until the strike ends at 0600 local time on 16 June. Additional disruptions to air traffic are likely to occur on 24 June, as air traffic controllers will join a nationwide strike scheduled to occur that day.
