What happens if I purchase a policy when I am 65 and have my 66th birthday during the period of cover?
Providing the policy is paid for and cover commences before your 66th birthday, we will cover you, until the period of insurance expires, at the normal adult rate.
For example, providing you pay for an individual trip policy before your 66th birthday, we will offer cover even if you become 66 before the trip commences. With annual policies, the relevant date is the day your twelve months cover begins. If you are 65 years of age on this date, the policy will cover you for twelve months even if your birthday falls during the year for which you are insured.
