Several individuals arrested in relation to attack

According to reports published on 6 November 2008, several individuals were arrested in Addis Ababa in relation to a planned attack against various targets within the city. Ethiopian police stated that the suspects were all members of the Oromo Liberation Front and a second unknown group. Opposition supporters, however, stated that the government is attempting to implicate opposition party leaders in the plots. Ethiopian police forces also added that some of the arrested individuals were members of legal opposition parties.
