Trade unions stage warning strike

The Estonian Union of Trade Unions (EUTU) staged a warning nationwide strike on 16 June 2009 that mainly affected public transport services. The workers demanded that employers agree to new redundancy and unemployment insurance benefits. Further strikes may be called if demands are not met
