Landslides and floods in Loja province affect local travel
15 Oct 2008
Since 11 October 2008, there have been several landslides and floods in Loja province in the south of Ecuador, which have affected local travel in the region. The main Loja-Zamora road has been reopened, but there are still road works which can cause disruption and delays to all transport. The province is also still vulnerable to further landslides. Travellers should expect delays and allow additional time to travel in this region.
