Yellow fever in and around the city of Abidjan

The Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) Ministry of Health (MOH) has recently reported an outbreak of yellow fever in and around the city of Abidjan. As of August 12, 2008, the MOH has confirmed 19 cases of yellow fever since the outbreak started in May 2008. While yellow fever is always a health risk in Côte d’Ivoire, the yellow fever risk is likely higher at this time because of the current outbreak.
