Power cuts likely Till The Month of May

Energy sector officials warned on 1 February 2010 that Cote d’Ivoire will likely experience power outages from February to May 2010 due to damage to a generator at the central Azito power plant. Officials also indicated that the problems with the generator will cause difficulties in energy exports to neighboring nations.
