Air traffic controllers walk out at Abidjan airport

Air traffic controllers at Abidjan's Felix Houphouet Boigny International Airport (DIAP/ABJ) walked off the job at 1300 local time on 29 July 2008, halting all aircraft landings and take-offs at the facility. No explanation or reason was given for the strike. Airport officials stated that they do not have any other information to provide travellers. The strike continued into 30 July, but it is not clear how long the work stoppage is scheduled to last.
