SWINE FLU DEATH REPORTED IN COSTA RICA

Costa Rican officials confirmed on 5 July 2009 the third death in the country resulting from the H1N1 swine flu virus; two other deaths occurred in May and June 2009. Thus far, Costa Rica has reported more than 220 cases of the H1N1 virus, while more than 70 other potential cases are undergoing tests for confirmation.
