Six low-intensity bombs explode in Bogota injuring at least 18

Six low-intensity bombs exploded in Bogota on the afternoon of 23 October 2008. The bombs were placed in trashcans near street lights close to the Peruvian Embassy, the German Embassy in the El Nogal neighbourhood, a Citibank branch, a McDonald's restaurant in the western neighborhood of Salitre and the Centro Commercial Salitre Plaza. Another device detonated on a public bus traveling on El Dorado Avenue near El Dorado International Airport (SKBO/SOG). At least 18 people sustained injuries in the bombings.
