Rebel forces kidnap local oil contractors

Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebels reportedly kidnapped five local oil contractors working for Tuboscope and Tecniorente oil service companies in Arauca state near the Venezuelan border on 20 March 2010. Another contract worker managed to escape from the rebels after security forces became involved in the incident, which occurred near the Caricare oilfield.
