Galeras Volcano erupts again

On 24 April 2009 the Galeras Volcano in Nariño Department erupted again and the alert level has been raised to Level 2 which means there is the possiblity of another eruption within days or weeks. The FCO have warned against travelling to the area, however if, against this advice, you are in the vacinity of the volcano, you should pay careful attention to all warnings issued and follow the advice of the local authorities.
