Passenger Starts Fire In Aircraft Toilet

Chinese state media reported on 30 January 2010 that a China Southern flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger started a fire in the aircraft's lavatory. Flight CZ6939 was bound for the city of Wuhan, but returned to Urumqi Diwopu International Airport (ZWWW/URC) when the passenger reportedly attempted to light a flammable liquid that was smuggled onto the aircraft. Authorities detained at least two individuals after the incident.
