Earthquake In Sichuan Province

On 31 January 2010 an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 struck China's southwestern Sichuan province at 0536 local time (2136 GMT 30 January). The quake was centered approximately 20 mi/40 km south-southeast of the city of Suining. At least one person was killed and at least 11 others were injured in the quake, while local officials reported that an estimated 100 homes were destroyed.
