Tropical Storm Kyle is affecting southeastern Canada on 29 September 2008. According to meteorologists at Wilkens Weather Technologies, the storm system has weakened significantly but will affect portions of southern Nova Scotia during the remainder of the day and southern New Brunswick overnight. As of 0300 UTC, the storm was located approximately 55 mi/89 km south of Saint John, New Brunswick, with wind speeds of 70-80 mph/60-70 kt. Power outages have been reported in the areas affected by Kyle.
