Police shooting starts riot

Rioting broke out in the Montreal neighbourhood of Montreal North overnight on 10-11 August 2008 after police officers shot an 18-year-old near Henri Bourassa Park on 9 August. Protesters set fire to cars, vandalized buildings and set up barricades with garbage. Rioters looted several stores.
