28 Aug 2008
Air France Flight AF 346 overshot the runway at Montreal's Trudeau International Airport (CYUL/YUL) on 26 August 2008. The Boeing 747 aircraft became stuck in the grass after it began to skid down the runway following a transatlantic flight from Paris, France. All passengers and crew were unharmed, and the aircraft sustained no significant damage. Airport officials stated that overall operations were not significantly disrupted by the incident, and all other flights continued to take off and land as scheduled. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the aircraft to overshoot the runway.
