CAMBODIA FINALISES PLANS FOR STATE OWNED AIRLINE

A state-owned airline is in the works for Cambodia, according to local media on 15 July 2009. The carrier, Cambodia Angkor Airline (CAA), should begin operations on 27 July 2009 with domestic flights between Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk provinces. CAA will initially use ATR-72 aircraft; the carrier intends to purchase larger aircraft at the end of 2009 and operate to international locations beginning in early 2010
