Ninjas wanted to boost
Japanese tourism

16 Feb 2016

Japan’s Aichi prefecture is looking to hire six full time ninjas in a bid to boost tourism in the area. They are willing to pay ¥180,000 (£1,100) a month for a full time role as a ninja, the job application states. Overall fitness and acrobatic skills are a requirement as most of the roles will involve stage performances - as well as work for radio and television - however, combat experience is not a requirement.

Successful applicants will be performing at Nagoya Castle and in various other locations. The Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, has stated that he will ‘increase tourism even further in the run-up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games’.

If you are thinking about becoming a ninja, anyone over the age of 18 can apply, with applications closing on 22nd March. Good luck!
