Tropical Storm Bertha update

Tropical Storm Bertha continues to move toward Bermuda on 14 July 2008. At 1200 UTC, Bertha was located approximately 75 mi/120 km southeast of Bermuda. The storm is moving north-northwest at 8 mph/7 kt and has maximum sustained winds of 63 mph/55 kt with gusts of 75 mph/65 kt. According to meteorologists at Wilkens Weather Technologies, the storm is expected to make landfall on Bermuda between 1200 and 1400 UTC on 14 July. It is likely to pick up speed as it moves north and generate large waves on the eastern coast of Bermuda. Heavy rainfall is also expected.
