| FIRST FIVE CASES OF SWINE FLU REPORTED |
| On 7 July 2009 health officials in Belize confirmed the country's first five cases of the A/H1N1 (swine flu) virus. All five cases are linked to a casino in the Corozal Free Zone, located in the northern part of the country. The patients have received treatment and are recovering. At present authorities do not intend to close any facilities or impose any restrictions to combat the spread of the swine flu |
