Security increased around some foreign diplomatic missions

Authorities in Bangladesh have advised that they have increased security measures around foreign diplomatic missions in the country after an Islamist militant group threatened to launch attacks against three embassies in Dhaka. It is understood that militants with ties to the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh issued a statement to the U.S., Canadian, and Australian diplomatic missions warning that the embassies would be attacked if they did not shut down immediately.
