12 killed in Baku shooting incident

The FCO are advisng travellers and expatriates to be aware that a serious shooting incident occurred on 30 April 2009 at the State Oil Academy in Central Baku. At least 12 people were killed and 13 injured before the gunman shot himself. Whilst this appears to be an isolated incident, you are advised to remain vigilant.
