Storm hits Perth

A strong storm hit Perth in the evening hours of 22 March 2010, causing widespread power outages and damage throughout the city. Flooding, powerful winds and landslides felled trees, damaged homes and left almost 160,000 homes and buildings without electricity. The storm halted traffic, and golf ball-sized hail caused significant damage to vehicles.
