FIRST CONFIRMEDSWINE FLU CASE REPORTED IN ALBANIA

Government authorities in Albania recorded the country's first confirmed case of the A/H1N1 swine flu virus on 21 July 2009. Health officials stated that test results from a student who had recently travelled abroad confirmed the presence of the A/H1N1 virus. Reports also indicate that three Philippine sailors had sought flu tests in Albania after docking in the country. The tests reportedly came back positive, although the three ill sailors has since disembarked back to the Philippines on their cargo ship
